Mr. H. M. Walia – Director
Mr. H. M. Walia is a veteran insurance surveyor and loss assessor with over three decades of field experience across the full spectrum of general insurance claims. He holds IRDAI licences inEngineering, Marine Cargo and Motor, and is widely regarded in the industry for his analytical depth and technical accuracy in large-scale industrial loss assessments.
Throughout his career, Mr. Walia has been associated with the assessment of high-value claims exceeding ₹500 crore cumulatively, involving complex risks in heavy engineering sectors. He has served as a lead surveyor in several consortium-led assignments where his balanced approach and clarity of analysis have been instrumental in claim resolution.
His professional standing is marked by his deep understanding of policy interpretation, material damage assessments, and his ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams involving electrical and mechanical specialists. His reputation for fairness and technical competence has earned him continued empanelment with leading public-sector and private insurers over the years.
Mr. Ashish Govil – Director
Mr. Ashish Govil represents the new generation of technically-driven insurance surveyors who blend engineering expertise with data analytics and digital risk assessment. A licensed surveyor in Engineering and Fire classes, he has over 15 years of experience in managing and analysing complex industrial, renewable-energy, telecom and infrastructure claims across India.
He has successfully handled several major-loss assignments in the domains of thermal and solar power plants, wind farms, transformer and turbine failures, BOPP film manufacturing units,
and large industrial fires, often exceeding individual claim values of ₹50–100 crore. His work is distinguished by the integration of forensic analysis, OEM diagnostic data, and digital lossquantification models, which have set new benchmarks in evidence-based survey reporting.
Mr. Govil also leads AKG’s initiative in developing an AI-powered insurance analytics and claim-management platform, aimed at bringing transparency, speed, and regulatory compliance to
the insurance ecosystem. His exposure to risk-engineering studies, reinsurance reporting formats, and loss-minimisation audits gives him a comprehensive perspective on the technical as well as financial aspects of claims.
Ms. Shashi Sharma – Director
Ms. Shashi Sharma is an experienced insurance surveyor and loss assessor with over a decade of field expertise in handling diverse classes of general insurance claims. Licensed by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) in Fire, Marine, Miscellaneous, and Loss of Profit (LOP) categories (Non-Motor), she has been actively engaged in the industry since 2014.
Over the years, Ms. Sharma has been associated with reputed organizations including MACK Insurance Surveyors, J.C. Gupta & Co., and Protocol Insurance Surveyors, where she has successfully managed and reported on numerous medium and large-scale claims involving fire claims, LOP losses, Misc. claims, and marine cargo claims.
Known for his methodical approach, clarity in loss assessment, and technical precision, Ms. Sharma’s work reflects a balanced integration of policy interpretation, on-ground investigation, and data-supported analysis. Her proficiency in survey documentation and regulatory compliance has consistently contributed to timely and transparent claim settlements.
